I figured since I have started posting, I might as well officially say hello, and let y'all know a bit about me.
I'm 25, active duty Air Force (6+ years now). Started modeling about 6 years ago (yep, right after I joined). I had always had a fascination with planes, and thats what I started modeling. I had modeled some cars and trucks when I was younger, but nothing seriously. When I came to the DC/Baltimore area I got into rally racing, and started building the Tamiya 1/24 rally cars. After seeing several WWII movies (Saving Private Ryan, Enemy at the gates, Band of Brothers) I discovered armor. Now I'm addicted. The first tank model I built was Tamiya M5A1, and I have yet to look back.
Want to say great site to the guys who came up with this idea, and thanks to all the guys out there with all helpful suggestions and the words of encouragement. Keep up the excellent work (all of you). And hopefully I'll get a digital camera soon, and can show my models, and get some feedback from y'all. Thanks for your time.
Jason

Welcome aboard, Jason. If you are into contests, there is one August 9 in Roanoke. It's a couple hours away from you, but here is the website http://www.rvipms.com/ I'll probably be there as well as several others from the Richmond area.

Jason, Welcome! I'm USAF (Ret) And my first model out of basic was also Tamiya, but the M8 Motor Carriage. Zoomies should be building airplanes, right?? Never forget: Build What You Want, The Way You Want It! Rob
