Hi,
Does anyone have any suggestions for display cases that don't cost the earth. I found a few companies online but the cases cost more that the models!
I'm happy to have a stab at building my own if needs be, and any recommendations or advice about materials and sources would be very welcome.
Thanks
Mark

Try Ikea, I believe you can pick up a glass cabinet in £50 region.

yep £55 for it, with shelves, metal legs and a locking door. I was eyeing one of these up the other day when the mrs was dragging me round ikea

Try Ikea,
or €b@y, I bought 2 wooden cabs with glass doors & lights for £7.50 last year & am 80" tall glass fronted book-case for £5.00 (+£20 petrol, but that's another story)
I put bid in & forgot it...
Look for book-cases or Display Cabinets in categories, & then limit search options to distance you are willing to travel....
Or google Freecycle for your area...
PS Very important! make sure dimensions given will fit your transport... see another story, above...

Charity shops are also a good source of cabinets.
I picked this one up from the Heart Foundation shop for a tenner. Enough room for 24 1:72 scale fighters.

The money goes to a good cause as well!
