Yes boys and girls the time has come for the first installment of the great Marmite vs Vegemite taste test.
I first want to thank Charles down under and Andy on the other side of the pond for their generous donations for this unbiased taste test.PM me your address please.

I want to return the favor.
Now y'all need to remember that neither myself or John (Pvt Parts) Fortier have ever tried these products, so these products took us by surprise. (of course you also have to remember that this is all in good fun and done with tongue in cheek)
I ventured over to John's new digs, and of course needed to bring a house warming gift---- a toaster! How original of me!

Now that's a really nice new toaster!

and it sure made perfect toast!

Nicely buttered following Henks' directions.

1/2 slice nicely laid out for the Vegemite and Marmite

the opposing forces.

Wait a minute Dave, if you're using real butter you should be using real bread and Wonder ain't it!!!!!

That's why they named it "wonder"

!!
If John survives this I'd like to see him have it with his Martini at AMPSEast this year!
You two really live life on the edge!!

A toaster OOB with no after market parts or PE, how plain can you get. The blue camoflage is a bit shiny, possably a dull coat could help.

I note the post stopped just as you were to actually eat that stuff...I hope all went well and that you haven't poisoned yourselves ( the poor toaster would be all alone)

My thoughts exactly Charles...

Notice how the Vegemite jar towers over the marmite, which is short and fat (indicating what it will do to you if you eat too much of it). Notice how Vegemite is CONCENTRATED yeast extract, and marmite is not. Notice how the marmite jar is shaped like a grenade, because the WW2 Australian troops found it so tasteless they used it for grenade-throwing practice (Thankyou Great Britain!).
I'm looking forward to the next installment and final verdict! (there really is no doubt)

It has been some time since we have heard from Dave, perhaps we should check with the local A&E department...

Ola Dave and John
You are a brave pair. I like the way you present the Vegemite vs Marmite test and it inspired me a bit to do a quick photoshop job out of it. I hope you like it

Mitebusters,
Thank goodness, I thought you'd already tasted it and were too ill to post anything!
Truthfully, the one picture of all the toast slathered up with the magic vegetable paste.... one half looks like you used wheel bearing grease and the other looks like wet cigar ashes.
Best of luck on the actual 'tasting' You might want to have a pitcher of strong beer standing by.
Cheers,

Very Good. Very Clever.
John and Dave, shave your beards before eating. Things can get quite messy and we have to be able to see your Vegemite smile!
