Keith will be closing his store over the next couple months. His new job keeps him so buzy he was unable to enjoy it and had to hire more people to run it with him not being there. He says come on by for some great deals. So if you guys ever wanted to build up a stash, it may be a good opportuity to drop a bunch of money and get a lot of kits and stuff. That's right Moe.....a box of tube glue for me (LOL)

Oh man - that's bad news. I'm sorry to see an LHS close down. I know that one was run by one of the best diorama builders.

You can say that again. I have had the priveledge of both seeing and making a couple of items he used in one of them. He is also a very passionate model builder. He really loved being a Hobby Store owner. But his "real" job became to demanding so he spent less and less time there. He is very dedicated to reaching out to kids to encouarge the hobby. He and I spent many a weekend doing make and take in the area. Last year he ran a kind of a model building camp and had one of the guys who was a model builder for the very first Star Wars movie teaching it.

Not trying to encourage the vultures, but he might still do mail order check at hobbyannex.com or call 972-380-8900.

Sad news indeed.
I wish him well, and hopefully he'll at least find time to relax and build a few models.
I understand about the job keeping you busy, I've had 4 days off and 2 sick days off since February.

Got there just at opening time today and took a very small chunk out of the inventory. Plenty more left.

I only made it by a few times but will miss it when it's gone.

That just sucks. I haven't been around here much for a while and just heard about this from Moe while at ReaperCon over the weekend. My first thought is where the heck is there to go in the area now? I know a couple of Hobby Towns, but no independent model shops around me anywhere.

Really sucks, Keith has a great store and some great people around.

Dont like to hear about LHS closing, theres not enough of them. I personnally dont have one close by me, so I depend on Mail order, shows and fellow modelers to aquire the kits I would like to build. Anyway, GOOD LUCK to Keith. Is there a email where I can contact his shop, maybe he has in his stash the kits Im looking for. ( Dragom, 1/35th Railcars). Thanks, milvehfan

I don't recall ever seeing those dragon railcar kits there. They have pretty much been OOP so long that he never aquired any. try them at www.hobbyannex.com

There isn't very much in Dallas and nothing like what we had. No Phil's or Halls. Hobbytown is "OK" but it's like comparing a Pinto to a 71 Mustang.

I must apologize for not posting this sooner. Last month, Keith sold the store to a new owner. The staff will remain, and Keith will still particiapte in club activites when he can. Those guys who were / are club members, we still keep our store discount. Hopefully with continued support, the store will continue to thrive. At the present, my job hours are keeping me away, but I may be relocating to a new site with different hours and can start participating again.
