Hi All

Martin from Plaskits in Edenvale has a proposal for the PWV based clubs in the form of an interclub group build. Please see his original mail below:

Quoted Text

Some guys in my club will be building a 1/35 Leopold Gun as a group build. I was thinking of turning it into a inter-club thing. (Us the Vaal-guys, Pretoria and the Gold Reef Guys). I don’t want it to be a competition per say, I’m thinking of having a popular vote system, I don’t know what your thoughts are on this. The Lifecolor agent agreed to sponsor some prizes.

I’m sure there are guys with big projects sitting in the cupboard at home, just itching to get built.

I also don’t want to limit the entries to armor, it could be a big-scale plane or ship, whatever you can split up between 3-6 guys.

I’m also prepared to supply kits at discounted prices if needed.

Speak to your guys and see how they feel about this, I’ll arrange with the guys at the War-museum to organize a Saturday for us, or to incorporate us in one of their normal meetings. Obviously a date hasn’t been set, it all depends on what and who is entering. Your welcome to have more than one entry per club, the more the better.

Thank you

Martin van Wyk

If you have any comments or suggestions, please make them here and I will see to it that Martin gets them or alternatively you could contact him personally on the numbers provided or send him an e-mail at [email protected] . I think that this is a brilliant idea but it needs the buy in from all of the PWV clubs to be a success.

Give it some thought and lets get off our buts an do it!

Cheers

Arthur

Hi Arthur/Martin,

Not a bad idea at all, however my guys are few in number (IPMSPTA) but will mention it to them this coming Sat 7 June, so wil see what the feeling is.
