Hi to everyone,
I would like to know the difference between polyester resine, epoxy resine and poyurethane. What are the advantages and disadvantages of each one?
A few years ago I didn´t know the existence of them and just bought some resin (polyurethane?). Now I want to buy some resin and have seen in the shop this three kinds of resin. I would like to know which one would be more suitable for making copies.
It seems as the only transparent they have is the polyester resine and also another polyester resine is the one that is more liquid and which takes longer to cure.
If the transparent resin works it would be great to make the glass of the loach (the sprues are in the transparent piece and leaves it with some whitening) and more transparent pieces (bottles, etc).
When a few years ago a made copies I was able to make copies of hand granades, aires german helmets and many more small things (all in 1/35) with no air bubles and one piece molds.
Now I am planning on superdetailling weapons and making copies of them.
Thanks for your help,
Angel
