Hi all !!!

I am kinda crazy fond of the MAZ-537 tank transporter and the Trumpeter 1/35 kit is a must.

As I am also attracted by bushwar related events, I was wondering whether you guys could tell me if the Cubans used the soviet made MAZ-537 to trail their T55/T62 and other AFVs/Tanks ?

Can anyone help ?

Any known pics ??

Thanks in advance,

Best regards,

Richard

Hi Richard

I phoned one of my friends, at the SADF Museum regarding this. As far as they know the Maz was never brought over for use by the Cubans, photo reference on shows the old Mack transporter with T-55's on being given over to Jonas Savimbi as opposed to the current SADF Man transporter being used today.

There might be more reference but at this moment no further info sorry.

Cheers
Roland

Hi Roland,

Thank you for the information.

I may then depict a more common afghan diorama with the Maz.

Any future info welcome,

Best regards,

Richard
