For those who play with these war gaming weapons, which one is better and which do you prefer?
Paintball became popular first from way back in the 80's (I think) but it seems recently Airsoft gun gaming has been becoming real populat, and this I believ is because of the fact that airsoft guns look like real replicas of real weapons.
I have even seen a punk in YouTube firing his full auto airsoft at night with what seems to be tracer bullets!
Meanwhile paintball guns have been adopted even by the military to replicate actual gun shooting in their war games.
So back to the question--- which one is better and which one do you prefer?

i can relate more to airsoft than paint balling , the weapons, equipment, and tactics, used in airsoft seem more tactical opposed to running around wearing day glow colors and having more or less one mass shootout . ( not that im opposed to a mass shootout ) i got myself an airsoft M4 assault rifle a 4.4 magnum and a P90 ( cos i love stargate sg1 ) i did a lot of work on them as a project and they came out great , . so for me it has to be airsoft.

I play paintball, you know airsoft is a more tactical game needs more planning.
Paintball i more "rush and stop" game and not that realistic as airsoft.
I played both and love paintball !
Cheers !

Paintball, played properly, is the bomb.
By properly, I mean, outdoors, in the bush, in all weathers and with the 'markers' (can't call 'em guns, that's so un-PC) set to punch out them balls with sufficient speed to leave a decent welt.
You've got to know when you've been Tangoed.
And part of the fun of the game is showing off your 'wounds' to your crew* over a beer or three after the game.
* Except if you get pinged in the nads, as happened to me once - a perfectly circular purple bruise on the most sensitive part of me sensitive parts. Didn't really hurt, to tell the truth, but it was sure fun getting 'treatment' from my 'nurse'....
