In the mid 1980's I was in the United States for an exercise in Greyling Michigan. While there, I had taken my combat knife, a Gerber Guardian Mk II and stuck it in a tree after cutting some para cord to secure a tent. Thing is, I got preoccupied setting up the bivie, and forgot my knife stuck in that tree! I didnt even notice till I went to use it the next day, many kilometers away, and it was no longer on my webbing. Could someone get it for me and mail it back? *chuckles*

Dave,

You should be able to find it no problem....it was the wooden one, the leaves were green-ish, and it was between two others.

Well, with things greening up for summer it shouldn't be a problem to find it.

Hey, my folks used to have property near there (in Gaylord, on Lake Arrowhead). I'm pretty familiar (even after 25 years) with the territory. And, if recollection serves me correctly, I think I know which tree you stuck it in (the give away was the fact it's between two others). Give me a few and I could probably recover it for you. Uh, what addy you want it sent to?
