I'm guessing that seeing as 1/16 is 120mm then 1/8 must be 240mm.

If memory serves me right(so you may want to check this)
1 inch ='s 2.25 cm or 225 mm.
From this you can do the scale formula in mm's I have tried but the thinner fumes have taken over.. hope this helps

1/8 scale is 125mm to 1 scale metre or 1.5 inches to the scale foot.

1/4 scale is 250mm per scale metre or 3 inches to the scale foot.

curtesy of a fine scale modeler supplement. :-)

1/16 scale is 62.5mm to a scale metre not 120mm.

the 120mm relates to the height of the figure at 1/16 scale

to work out 'scale lengths' to millimetres devide 1000mm (1 metre) by the scale required. for example 1/9 scale = 1000 divided by 9 =111.11mm to the metre. so 111mm = 1 scale metre at 1/9 scale :-)

Hi Arthur,
First of all,we see your question is not a dumb one because we are all lost to find the answer.I tried an online scale converter. To check how it works or it works correct , first I tried 1:32 scale (54 mm) thinking a 1:1 human is about 175.the result was 5,46 cm.thinking this is not a bad result I tried 1:8,the result was 21.875cm.
best regards..Engin
