I'm doing a showdowbox and would like to have the plane with machine gun fire and prop turning. I've heard of using fibreoptics and would like to run this through the machine guns. How would I do this and how would I make the flash intermittent? Also how would I run the motor and the lighting to the same power source. And where do I find the supplies.

Did this once, Germans in the sewer at Stalingrad. Lead guy had a flashlight and had other lights shining in the from the manholes. It was neat but I powered it with D cells because I did not know anything about electricity and the thing weighed a ton.
I think there is a chapter in Shep Paines diorama book that should be a big help.
Bought my fiber optic line at a train store and most of the other stuff at Radio Shack

Thanks guys for the link. I have Sheps' first edition of the book and I didn't see anything about fibreoptics in there, but, there is alot of good info on the wiring to 120.
