That would be cool. I met Sabot, TankCarl and Grashoopr at the club's contest last month. Unfortunately, I was quite busy and had little time to really socialize. I'm striclty an attendee there after the business meeting, though I may help with some judging.

Jeez, I was there Saturday afternoon and missed you guys.
I did meet Bob Collignon, which was good.
I guess we should get some Armorama badges or something.

Cheers
Andy

I didn't run into anyone from here. However, I did quite well with 4 awards in 5 categories :-) entered, including first in 54 MM historic foot (Mountain man), 2 Seconds (Mohawk Vignette and Gladiator Collection), and a third (Creature From the Black Lagoon the one on the taller base with the label and eel and colorful shells) FSM took photos of the Mountain Man, Mohawks and two of the Gladiators. Two of the other three guys from the club took awards, too, including the 1/48th F-117 dropping a bomb. :-)

Hi Al

I have my photos ready to post, and I took pictures of the stuff I liked only. My wife and I thought your Mohawk vignette was the best of the figures! I loved the Creature from the Black Lagoon. There were some very impressive monsters and scifi stuff. In my opinion, those were better than the majority of the military figures. The vampire from Blade II was very cool.

I liked the Gothic mounted knight too.

Nice work, and congratulations,

Andy

Thanks for the kind words, :-) especially about the Mohawks. I'm quite happy with them. The vignette that beat it was very deserving, and had more work, lighted candles, stained glass windows, nice rubble, well painted figures. The ships that took the collections were also quite deserving. I was more than a bit surprised at the Mountain Man as there were quite a few very well painted competitors in that class.
As nice as this interpretation of the mounted Gothic Knight was, there was an even better renditon of that making the rounds last year. It was done by the guy who had best figure this year.
Did you have anything on display?

Hi Al

I just visited for a couple of hours. I'm not really interested in spending hours at a contest, and not being able to pick up the goods until late at night!

I thought the little prayer vignette was OK, but your mohawks were painted to a much better standard.
I was living near Dallas last year, so missed Noreastcon.

Cheers
Andy
