I want to let you know that on the 5th and 6th of April there will be the 14th International Painting Competition at Antwerp. International isn't just a fancy word in the title.Last year participants came from Italy (Diego Ruina, Pietro Balloni and Gianfranco Speranza), France (J.P. Duthilieul, and others) the United Kingdom (Basement Boys), Germany (Konrad Schulte, Markus Eckman, Michael Seitz, etc...) The Netherlands and of course Belgium. Marijn van Gils will be giving a seminar on the sculpting of figure and throughout the weekend various artists will be giving painting demo's.
