Modelling uses hundreds of acronyms and abbreviations, and to beginners and newcomers, they can often be very ill-conceived and often amusing.
This is a little competition to find the Best Confused Acronym relating to scale modelling. A panel of judges will choose their favourite and then fiercely debate for the winner. (If Grumpy and Shaun Keenan wouldn't mind judging with me).
The winner will recieve.... recognition for winning!
To start it off. When I first began on the site, I thought:
SBS (step by step) was to do with the TV station, SBS. I thought that if you made a feature article, you could go on the news and explain it!
A classic: WIP (Work-in-Progress) I thought everyone were being gentlemen, saying 'With Pleasure". For example: My new diorama, with pleasure!

My AMS was acting up so I decided to build one OOTB, but after a trip to the LHS came home with a ton of new PE and AM parts.
I did manage to avoid any new DML,RPM, RM, or AFV Club kits. There was an AA resin conversion I almost bought.
I did get a new needle for my AB. Since I've switched to CO2 my painting is really much easier.
I was also looking for some BMF, but the price seemed high.
I went home and was going at ask about the MSRP on RMS, but wow!!, that's a trip in the wayback machine
I surfed HS, ML, PMMS and ARC.
Then I got distracted looking at MMiR looking at all the options..
From there I tried to get to the VLS site, but the were closed and everything is handled by SMO.
After all that, my kit wont be ready for either AMPS or the IPMS show and I am SOL.
I'm going back to legos..
