I owned a small hand held battery driven mini drill tool (i bought it a while ago at a onlineshop associated with the defunt WW2 Modelmaker site). It was called a Micro-detailer.
The drill is out of function now and the shop doesn't exist anymore.

I am looking for a replacement but can't find anything similar.
Every handheld drill i can find is Dremelstyle starting at rotary speeds of 5000 rpm.
I would like to have a fingertip adjustable speed starting slowly.

Any idea out there where i can find such a thing?

Thanks
Claude

Thanks Ian, but Aldi products are only available locally at special times.
So, this is UK, the same product will not find its way to the continent.

But it would be a good choice.

Thank you

I own a Microdetailer as well, bought it from the same site--excellent tool. Perhaps this website might help you:

I think you might have to call them. They sell the bits and burrs as well. Good luck!

Thank you very much Rory.

The microdetailer still exists ! Great. I will check that out, and most importantly, check the shipping costs to Europe.

Thank you

Good luck! Actually, that webpage has been in my favorites for quite a while, and it might be a bit old--I can't guarantee the MicroDetailer is still available. Please let us know if you are successful--I think I might pick up a spare if you are!

Actually i did already looked it up regulary on their webpage and in the normal assortiment it is no longer listed.

I suspect that they eventually had the leftover stock from WW2Modelmaker and it is defintely gone now.

Thanks again

Well, sorry about that....I searched for the MicroDetailer again, and found it absolutely nowhere--not on eBay, not anywhere. It appears to be an extinct creature and possibly a collector's item. If I had an extra one, I might try to sell it on eBay--would probably get a very good price.

Dang it anyway.
