E Gary Gygax died today. So, everyone that spent way too much time in the fantasy RPG world he created should roll a D20 for his safe passage and have a couple of dwarven ales.

RIP indeed, it's only a few months since I got rid of my D&D books from my student days back at the beginning f the 80s. Role-playing was a great excuse to sit round a table eating and drinking beer for hours at a time (as if students needed one).

My inner Dork raises a Tankard of mead in salute.
My outer geek rases some brews in memeory of all the saving throws i made & missed, all the 'unbeatable ' beasties we vanquished from "Unearthed Arcana", and to the legions of fans male & female who gained som sort of self respect & drive from going toe-to toe with a Revenant, a Demon TypeVI Marilith(etc.), and any host of wyverns, Dragons, & denizens of the Troll Fens. Magic & hope in a time of fear & Global uncertainty.
We owe you, Gary. We miss you, Gary.
And if Bigby & Mordenkainen come through on the astral projection/ressurrection/reincarnation-well you just try to let us know. Deal?
