I am thinking about updating my old single action airbrush to a Iwata HP-CS. All I have for a compressor is a Testor Mini Blue Ice compressor. Will that feed a Iwata double action brush or should I wait until I can get a compressor too? Thanks Rusty

Hi Rusty,
The Blue Ice puts out 40 pounds, so it's capable of powering any airbrush. You don't need a new compressor. You'll be very happy with the Iwata and you'll see a huge difference. You don't need all that pressure with the Iwata, you'll be blowing paint all over the place and wasting a lot. If you don't already have one, get a regulator/moisture trap for the compressor so you can turn it down.

CS is a good all around brush, though I'd consider doing a C+ or CH. Even better. Finer tip. Will spray everything the CS does, but you'll get a MAC valve and a preset handle... and an overall nicer brush.
