:-) Replying to sarge's post about UK model shops has given me an idea.
How many of you UK based Armorama nuts regularly go to the IPMS (UK) Scale Modelworld in Telford? Or how many of you would like to go?
What about organising a get together of us Armorama-ites? the show is over 2 days and although I have always planned to stay for the 2 days, I go on my own and there never seems any point. If a bunch of us got together it would be great. If you have never been it is certainly worth the trip, to put faces to names even more so. You don't have to be a member of the IPMS, I'm not. This year it takes place on Saturday 22/Sunday 23 November and it is the IPMS's 40th anniversary. If there is an interest, particularly for the 2 days then hotels need to be booked fairly soon, because they tend to get booked solid nearer the dates.
Anyway lets see if some of us can get together :-)
This maybe should have been posted on other boards but I wanted to catch as many UK modelers as posible

Hi Mal,
, great idea, I will try to find out train times(from East of Scotland), to and from the event, also any handy telephone numbers (tourist info etc)and post them here later and see what feedback comes of it. Once again great idea to meet not only fellow modellers but Armorama nuts.
Regards, Kenny.
Here is some information, hope it helps,
There are Virgin Trains from Edinburgh & Glasgow several times a day http://www.virgintrains.co.uk for trains to Wolverhampton.
From there you need to get to Telford.
Obtain local bus & trains info from www.virtual-shropshire.co.uk.
Obtain B&B Hotel info from Telford Tourist Information Centre on 01952 230032

I may be going but it all depends on my job and holiday abroad. Didn't want to say i was going and not turn up. If all goes well i will be there. My Wife wants a spend a weekend in Shrewsbury (very near to Telford) which could come in handy as a bargaining tool
