With the last update taking place in November I held off until now as December was a fairly slow month.
The Wheatcroft Collection has acquired the following major items in recent months:
S130 Schnellboot
– the famous ‘E’ boat – this one has a particularly famous history
and commanded the S-boat force in the Slapton Sands attack prior to D-Day.
In service until the 90’s a very detailed history can be seen at The British
Motor Powerboat Trust. The collection intends to fully restore the vessel to
its original configuration.
Shermans and Variation
A fully running M4 105mm Howitzer, an M4A4 lower hull, and a partially restored M10. (Pics of the first two will have to wait for better weather.)
