To go along with the thread on what we're currently reading, how about one on what we currently aren't reading because we failed to buy a certain book before it disappeared?
One of mine is John Milsom's book on Soviet Armour for Arms and Armour Press. Couldn't afford it at the time and have only seen it recently at prices I don't really want to pay.
Anyone else missed out?

One of the ones I regret is a book on the role that classical music and musicians played in the Third Reich. I saw it while away on business, in the Virgin store in Vancouver, BC, had picked it up and leafed through it, but the price ($43 IIRC) was a bit rich, and I decided to wait until I was back home.
Of course, now I can't remember the title, author, etc and would glady pay the $43...

Well, I wish I would have bought the Modellers Guide to the Sherman back when it first came out. I have had the revised edition, Son of Sherman, on pre-order since July of '06. I am still hoping but not holding my breath.....

I would say this book:
Courage Alone: The Italian Air Force 1940-1943
by Chris Dunning
Usewd copies sell for over $400 now.
Luckily I bought the book below when I did its at $250 a copy now:
Poles Apart: The Polish Airborne at the Battle of Arnhem
by George F. Cholewczynski
Mike T.
