I happened to find and read about the German occupation of the Channel Islands in the English Channel, and noticed captured French Char tanks had been sent there with Panzer-Abteilung 213 during the invasion (which was unresisted). I thought of depicting a German Char in that region, but don't know if they were regular or flamethrowers or marked, or how they were equipped.

Tom, I have this info on the Flammwagn B-2(f)
they were in the Jersey & Gurnsey islands. Some (12) went to the Crimea with 223 Schwere Panzer co. Their were (9) with 7th SS in the Balkans. I also have a picture of one in Arnheim but the text is German so I can't read it. I'm would not be suprised if some participated in the Normandy campaign and retreat to Germany. I have no firm info on that though. German crosses usually on turet sides and hull sides. Some had comander's cupola removed. MY info could be wrong the books are old.

I was working in the Jersey Zoo for a month in '94. In a surprisingly small island, you find a surprisingly high number of forts and German fortifications, sometimes built together. I think the natives are actually proud of the fact that they were the only British territory occupied by the Germans.
