The amazing thing is that The Honeymooners was only on for one season (1955) with only 39 episodes and yet it is so ingrained in our cultural consciousness.

That'll be why this cartoon is lost on me then (Born 1966)

I have the series on DVD and watch it at least twice a year, my own Honeymooners marathon.

"Pow, Right in Tha Kisser!"
Skip, I was born in '68 but have manage to see most of the episodesof "The Honeymooners". Probably more of a Cultural separation than anything else...I imagine you were listening to 'The Goon Show' or watching Benny Hill & Monty Python's Flying Circus.
Gotta Love syndication.
Also, in his Later years Jackie Gleason lived in a house (gated mansion
) in the Furnace woods area of Peekskill NY( my hometown). We'd often see him cruising about town in his vintage Packard or doodling along in a custom Golf cart ('The Great One') on his way to the VFW post located on the grounds of the Armory. Nice Guy. One of his neighbors once winched my jeep out of a bad spot on a seasonal access road that runs Right behind their Houses. I could see Mr. Gleason watching from behind the fence, & saw him haise his arms as if in triumph when we got unstuck. Neat guy.

Was a great person is what I heard also.
I always liked Alice I guess I had a thing for older women back in them days.
Black and white never did her justice.
One heck of Red head.
