Hi,
I'm building a 1/35 universal carrier. I would be grateful if someone could advise me on the colour scheme. The period would be around the battle of El Alemain.

Hi Alan,
I don't think there is any hard and fast answer, but here goes.
Either, Light Stone No.61 (Desert Yellow) with or without a disruptive pattern of Dark Green, Slate or Very Dark Brown. , or the base colour could be Desert Pink, again with or without the same disruptive colours.
pre-El Alamein, late 1941

source of both photos is the Alexander Turnbull Library
cheers
David

No I haven't Alan, but I am really tempted to get the Staghound ones for etheir the Italeri or Bronco kits if/when I get my grubby hands on them.
From what I have heard Bison decals are an excellent addition to any kit.

I've got one of each on order at my local (Modelcrafts).
Been waiting for something like these for years. While hand painting unit markings has worked for me in the past, there's nothing like starting with the proper thing from the get go.
Maybe these will motivate me to finish my remaining assembled but unpainted WWII Kiwi armour projects...
...or maybe it'll take a little something else.
