The biggest hurdle to getting custom designed parts created and built through printapart.com is actually having your ideas put into the format that we need. Printapart.com needs to have a Stereolithography file (*.STL) in order to print your part in high resolution on our Invision HR 3-D Printer. In order to create this file, your ideas and drawings would need to be converted into a 3-D CAD model. Most folks do not have easy access to these 3-D CAD modeling packages and the learning curve to create complex parts and features is very steep.
