Well, a friend at work liked my panther's 'Italian Woodland' cammo scheme so much he asked me to do something like it for him.
Let me know what you think.

I think he said it's a .223 Ruger with I believe is a Leopold scope. He was really pleased with it,which made me happy.
cheers!

Well yes, similar but not exactly the same. The gunstock has 5 colors where the panther has three.(He wanted more browns,I compromised with one additional green and one more brown). Also did a butt and forestock for a Remington 870 12ga. in 5 differant browns so it could 'get lost' in a field of dead cornstalks during a pheasant hunt No pics though as that guy went 100% flake on me.

Very unusual Rick, I like! Was it a wood stock or synthetic? Did you do anything to prep the surface?

Kool!

Thanks guys! Mike- I was fortunate in that it was a NEW wood stock and took very little prep before the primer coat. It was done in enamels, sealed with several coats of Future and then 2-3 coats of Dulcote. The Remington 870 was much older and well abused. Gun oil and DEET were slobbered liberally, especially the forestock.Took 2-3 strippings with paint remover and then darn near submerge it in 90% alchohol to get anything to stick to it. In the future,if you want to try this, buy a synthetic stock and go from there.A new wood one would work also. Plenty AM out there for the 870 and others.
cheers!
Rick
