Hi guys,
good to have found this forum... I have just picked up modelling again, after a 6 year leave, and am now reminded how expensive this hobby is (and a lot more expenses are coming )... Right now I m building a Mig-27 Flogger D, Academy Stug IV and Sdkfz 251/1 D as a warmup, and as tryout objects (esp. the Stug IV is used for this purpose)... Though having a few projects running, I have already found out that I now have a lot more patience for things (per project) then a few years ago .
Next object to tackle is an Academy Tiger I Mid-production with interior, and AM products (with a Wespe on the shelf)....
I have already learned a lot from reading this and similar forums and various articles. And it only strengthens my resolve to take things easy, and not rush the kits. It also makes me shake my head in disbelief at times looking at some of the models made (the super-detailed Pz I is one of them), but it also makes me want to try to get as good as that (or close to it). If I can find a webcam, I might start posting pics to get help and advise, and show my efforts, if I can find out how to do that.....
I really like the idea of the campaign/group-builds: You learn from everybody doing things different, coming up with new ideas, or running into the same problems you do, and then solving them...So I might join one of them in the future...
Good luck in building,
Harm

Well, you certainly have jumped back into the hobby with both feet. As you've read, ask and you'll get a half a dozen different responses but man what a wealth of knowledge.

Welcome back to this crazy hobby. Isn't it fun where people from all over the world can get together and talk about making Japanese kits of German tanks.
