No, i'm not sticking the X-Acto in but I really have never seen anything more pathetic than what England did last night against Croatia...

The English national game now looks terminal. With the self-appointed Mafia (who comprise the F.A. board members) constantly taking the piss out out of the fans - 95,000 in Wembley last night, just how far can the national side fall?

It was more than inevitable, it was advance news of a funeral.

McLaren as manager? What particular mental breakdown created that decision? Playing Beckham? Just how more mediocre can one get?

However, with all this, there's one ray of hope - Croatia is the most impressive team in Europe at the moment - my personal favcorites to take the honors at Euro 2008...

Very pleased to here on the radio that McLaren has been sacked.

FA Meeting at 9.00
Sacked at 9.02

Very short meeting then!!!

Maybe the National side can regain it's status one day, but i don't know how.

A complete lack of pride for playing for ones country is the problem.

Very frustrated.

Eeeehmm you guys sure you are not talking about the Dutch national team? Yes there is somehow a result every match... And for me and pretty much all the Dutch soccerfans it is a total enigma how they get these results everytime... it is not like they are playing soccer or something like that. I watch everytime in the hope to see a team willing to play soccer and willing to enjoy the fans with attractive soccer... Sadly all the qualification games were just a huge dissapointment. It is a riddle to me how we ended up being one of the strongest teams in Europe. I still think van Basten is a great coach just as he was a great player. And there is running a huge amount of money on the field somehow without any motivation to play good soccer.

pitty... I still hope it will be better on the European Championship since we managed to qualify.

Well let's face it... McLaren hasn't exactly been England's most successful coach has he?

Rumour is Morinho (sp?) is being approached for the job.

It was all summed for me when the FA seemed more interested in how they are going to recovered the loss of the £million in lost revenue rather than the passion lost by it players.

The biggest problem with the england national teams is the FA and the board of directors who make it up, none of them have a clue.

like everything else these days it all boils down to money

Maybe if some off the millions poured into the F.A. was spent on local talent and not on expensive imports we might get a ground base again. What a sorry over paid bunch of wimps,id rather watch paint dry.
