I picked up a set of Friuls (ATL-24) through eBay for $20.50 in September. Prior to that, I was checking the online stores and they were in the $35 to $40 range...I wasn't in a hurry (this may not be your case though) so my patience payed off.

You may want to check Chesapeake, he still seems to have the lowest listed price for them (though IIRC there's been a price increase?).

I think there is a friul set on Ebay now for $27--last time i checked. I got lucky and found some modelkasten but still paid over $20. I was in the same situation as you and just eventually bit the bullet when I found a good deal. Good Luck.
