Ian Brody Loup was born at 24 week 5 day gestation weighting 1 pound 12 ounces and 13 1/4 inches long. He is the light of our life and definitely a gift from God. Just turning 3 he is an active, happy, friendly child in spite of all he has been through in his short life. Ian developed Hydrocephalus (water head baby) from meningitis when he was about a month old.

He has had 21 surgeries and has already reached his lifetime max of one MILLION dollars on his father's health insurance. This year alone he has had 5 surgeries and takes each one like a trooper. He is truly our hero. Other than his Hydrocephalus Ian has developmental delay but otherwise a normal 3 year old. We pray that by Kindergarten Ian will be in normal classes with the rest of the kids his age, right now he just started pre-k and is getting extra help to catch up through a program in the public school system for children with developmental delay.

Unlike most families, when Ian gets sick and needs to go to the doctor, we have to go out of town. All of Ian's surgeries and checkups take place at Children's Hospital in New Orleans, Louisiana, which is a 400 mile round trip for us. To help with the expenses that come from hospital stays that can last up to 4 weeks, we are raffling off five excellent models kits for $1 a chance, $5 for 6 chances or $10 for 12 chances. The raffle will run from November 14 to December 14, 2007. To participate in the raffle, go to Ian's Benefit Page.
Thank you,
Kenny, Renee and Ian Loup
