I know that some time ago, we had a little thread going on tattoos... Well, I spent some time in the tattoo chair yesterday and started work on a new piece. Sat for 5 hours and got the major outlines done, Subsequent sittings will be for colour and filling in the bare spots... Anyone else wanna show off their skin art?

Thanks Brad.. I will start sitting for colour in late November I think..give this a chance to heal well first.. I;ll sit for a few hours then.. no need to do a marathon sitting now all the lines are done...

Wow, that's a tat.
You should share some stories with mother. He's got a few impressive ones too.

Nice tats, Dave. Should look awesome with the colours in. These are mine:

Celtic cross on left forearm, Balinese armlet on left bicep.

Chinese dragon on right shoulder.

Look good so far.
Just out of curiosity, how much did the ink set you back, and did you get a package deal covering the colors, or do you have to spring for more loonies for the colors?

Wow. That big. I can imagine all the wincing you had to do with that. I got a few of my own but not that big. Good luck with the coloring. Really nice work. Mine's more of a jailhouse tat.

Hey Dave.. Nice looking ink.. Any plans on getting more?? *L*

Dave, What you see there cost 500.. I might be able to get the same deal I did for the outline which was 100 per hour. If not, it will be 120 per hour for the colour. But seeing as the outline is done, I con do it an hour at a time if I want.. So it wont sting to bad.. Pardon the pun.. But its taken a fair chunk outta my kit money...

RD, a few spots made me cringe a bit but over all it wasn't that bad.. Any chance of seeing your tat here?

Oh yeah, I'm definitely gonna expand the Balinese design further up my shoulder, and I'm planning one on my chest which will incorporate my son's name. I also want another on my forearm which will have my regimental capbadge and a lion.

$500!!! I guess it's like that over the Western shores. Ours just cost a few bottles of beer and ink which was about $25. It's all black anyway.

I hope you don't mind if I show only one side. I had to black out some portion too.
