Hi all,
Hope this is the right forum, but I have a question about a photograph and the door gun on the helicopter portrayed.
It's a pretty famous incident, covered in Time, from the Vietnam war involving photographer Larry Burrows.
I've seen different captions identifying the gun differently, but mostly commonly as an M-60. If I remember correctly, an M-60 is .308-caliber?

Yup, M60.
I can't tell from the location of the crewmans hand if it had the 50cal 'spade' grips or the ground use buttstock and pistol grip.
