Aloha everyone!!

Can anyone please give me a hint on the best way to "fade and shade" armor models? I've seen people paint the entire model black first then continue on with their base coat or I've seen people just spray certain panels with black and then spray their base coat. Or maybe better yet could someone please turn me on to a good reference book to get me on the right track.

Thank You!!

Kurt

This isn't directly shading but it's along those lines
Weathering
or
Finishing

Same concept - different subject matter
Preshade

Thread about it

I think I could use a book also.. Or better yet a class at the community center that would be cool. Aircraft I can do fairly well but when it comes to armour It more cosley resembles a terriable acident in a flour/paint factory.
