I've recently been glued to a new WWII documentary "The War" on the Public Broadcasting System. I wanted to know if anyone else has seen it and what you thought about it in historical context or value?

My .02$ I enjoy how it shows both the war and homefronts. I enjoy the interviews and think that the actual, as it happened historical perspective of these men and women are invaluable. It also seemed from my point of view to show all sides relatively fairly.

I just watched this show today and like you I was glued to the tv. I think it is very interesting and I really love all the interviews with veterans.

It was very good. I think people are forgetting exactly how much the war played in everyone's daily lives.
