Yo guys,
I've been shopping this weekend (after saving for a long time).Bought my first airbrush : Badger 150 and a Sparmax compressor. I also bought Vallejo Model Air paint.
I even bought Dragon's Sd Kfz 164 Hornisse.
Now, if someone has some tips about these products (thank you Roadkill) they would be appreciated. Especially about maintenance and things like that.
I already found an article on Armorama about buildings the tracks (article from Bob Lester), but if someone wants to add tips, please do.
Thanks in advance.

If you have a tank on the compressor make sure you open the drain valve every so often and drain any condensation that my build up. Once a month or so.
Clean that brush EVERY time you use it.
You may want to investigate a moisture trap for the AB system.

(edit) mhhh there was just a post from bep here (????)
This should do the trick:

You copied the wrong URL into the imagebox. If you put a picture into a post then go to the pic you want to show up and rightclick on it. This will give you a pop up screen with information about the pic. in the middle of this pop up is an URL this is what you need to copy and paste into the img. codestring

hope it is of some help

nice compressor by the way

Don't have anything great to add, however I do want to agree with the advice given earlier on keeping your airbrush clean. This is absolutely essential if you are to remain happy with your airbrush. Early on, I did not do a good job of this, and it led to so much frustration that I nearly quit the game. Definitely take the extra five to ten minutes to clean the airbrush!

I recently picked up a pack of Vallejo Air paints, but haven't had the oppurtunity to use them yet. One complaint I have heard of was a good working thinner for them other than their own name brand. I'm curious to see if you have any problems.

You've picked a challenging model in the Hornisse! Open-topped vehicles present unique obstacles when it comes to the painting stage. From my experience with Tamiya's Marder III M, leave off the compartment walls for painting, and weathering then attach them to the the model. This gives much better access to crevices with your airbrush and paintbrush.

HTH, and happy modeling!
