I got the two books about Colditz through WW2 the period '41 till '45. The germans claimed that the castle (schloss Colditz) was totally escape proof though there were in those 4 years 350+ escapes. from wich a small selection managed to make a homerun to England.

For everyone who want to read the books the writer is P.R. Reid and the books are called Colditz. I can recommend them to everybody as it are really good books
