Greetings all:

I hate it when a bottle of CA goes bad before its time. Alteco has let me down recently. I have used their green and orange label CA for years. But lately anything I buy goes bad in one - two months. So i went looking for a better adhesive and I found it. Mercury CA comes in about ten formulas.

Everything from deep penetrating to gel. Foam friendly, rubber friendly beau coup variations depending on the label. It comes in one or two oz bottles. AND here is the great part. They garuantee that it won't go bad for two years or they replace it for you. Period. I just started using this stuff recently and I build alot. 10 -12 kits a year. For roughly one and half times the cost of one half oz bottle I used to get, now I get 4 times the amount of glue and its garuanteed for two years.

I bought the liquid basic (blue label) and the gel (green label) I am very impressed. The bonds are great. More later.

Sounds like some really good stuff. Although I haven't had any any problems with CA going bad (the stuff I get has an expiration date so I know when to replace it), I'd like to check it out. Where did you get it? Does the manufacturer have a website?

Where did you get it? Maybe a review of it would help too.

Sounds intriguing I know I suffer from heat affects on CA.

Greetings Scott;

I purchased it at a "HobbyTown" shop. I would be glad to do a review of their line. I'll contact them.
I bought the liquid basic (blue label) M5T and the gel (green label) M1100G.

They say they have 25 products. Low odor, foam compatible, low medium and high viscosity, flexible , ruber toughened, debonder annd accelerator, epoxies, finishing resins and thread lockers.

There is a metal spike inside the "screw on cap" that keeps the tip from clogging.

You have to admire this kind of stance.

". . . Unlimited Replacement Guarantee
Quality products do not need finite warranties or expiration dates. As a professional company Mercury will stand behind their products no mater what the date is or when the product was purchased. The Mercury warranty is simple.... Unconditional, and when we say unconditional we mean it! No time frames, no hoop jumping just unconditional. . ."
