hey guys, theres only place around here thats close enough for me to go to , but i have to bike 5 miles... i dont have a car so im wondering where can i get models and paint and stuff in the chicago area.

Venture Hobbies, M&Models...just to name two. I bet if you look in the Yellow Pages you'll find more. Otherwise you can order online from Roll Models, Sprue Brothers or Squadron. Both Roll & Sprue should be a one day turn time considering your location.
