I just got turned onto a site which sells super discounted Tamiya kits....Me I was looking for the 1:350 Enterprise they had it for $81.50 Checked 35th scale Armor....German tanks were generally $20 and Shermans $18.50. (Dragon Wagon at $65) Hearing about burns, I figured I'ld ask here if anybody has heard of this place www.evosale.com I sure hope this is a legit site.

It looks legit to me. Their shipping costs are high (12.00 to me) for the Tamiya Marder III.....(Squadron is 5.95), but with the low price they come out 10 bucks cheaper than the squadron. I've seen others advertising Tamiya for similar prices, and they usually turn out to be overseas, with correspondingly high shipping to the US. This place must be in the states. I'd like to hear from someone with a purchase under their belt before giving them my money though.

On second thought, IF this is the same person with the ebay ID evosale, I'd think long and hard about dealing with this person....their reputation on Ebay is less than sparkling, with a rash of negative feedback recently. Go there and search for that username and see for yourself. Also, they are apparently no longer a registered ebay user meaning they have been asked to leave or have asked to be removed from the ebay community.
caveat emptor

I wonder if this is again the same person going by hte name of Jonsey? if so, the general consensus is that he is a scam artist. The e-bay reference would make me nervous. The user evosale has been suspended from trading at e-bay.

I talked to a guy on the Ship site. He bought a Bismarck from this guy off of ebay. The only reason he was on ebay was because the kit had been opened. Said the guy definitely was not "jonesy" whom he was familiar with based on reputation. Apparently our friend has hit their website as well.

I think they are an overseas company. I wanted to see how much shipping was on a 1/350 Battleship and Destroyer. The two models combined for a price of $42, shipping was an astronomical $52. Not a good deal.
