A couple of years ago I bought a 2 oz. bottle of Super Jet Medium Viscosity super glue. In that time I've used a little less than half of it and now I find that it's getting really thick. Hardly flowing out of the bottle at all. Is this something that this stuff does if it's not all used up in a year or two? I had a bottle of the fast-setting type out in the garage that I've had maybe about a year longer than this bottle I'm talking about and it's as hard as a rock, so I had to throw that away.

Thanks and take care, sgirty :-)

Yup It sure is. The best place to store it (to prolong the life) is in the Fridge........

The moisture in the air is what causes the problem.

You're lucky!!! I bought some medium glue about six months back and it doesn't flow at all now. It has hardly been used. I also have some super thin glue which I got at the same time which is still running strong. I think that the time the glue will last probably varies depending on the production run.

You both are absolutely right. I talked to the hobby dealer today and he told me basically the very same thing as you guys. And he recommended that unless you use quite a bit of it, and fairly quickly, a person should buy it in only the 1/4 oz. or 1/2 oz bottle. In fact, that's the only way this particular dealer sells it himself. Live and learn. Ha!

Thanks and take care, sgirty
