Following various queries in the past I have found a source of Blacken-it in the UK.

Seems cheap, but don't know about P&P. My experiences have found that using other blackening agents on white metal tracks just, umm, blackens them. Reports I have read seem to indicate that this may give more of a weathered corroded effect, though I don't know for sure and this may depend on the composition of the metal used.
If any one gets some let us know.
