I just happened across this story, and although a few years old, it illustrates so well how the Second World War is remembered, to this very day, in Belgium and The Netherlands. Even after 65 years, the people still remember, and continue to care. Memorials to commemorate the events, and often more important the soldiers involved, are dedicated even to this day. Memorials, and the War Cemetaries, are well maintained, and respected, in memory of those foreign soldiers who came, and gave their lives in such huge numbers, to help us regain our freedom.

Freedom is not appreciated until it's lost.
