My Centurion build progresses slowly and now I am adding metal detail parts I am finding that the cyanoacrylate is leaving a white deposit. Is it necessary to remove this before painting and if so how?

Just a guess here... but try some rubbing alcohol on a cotton swab. DO NOT use acetone or nail polish remover (it can have acetone in it). You will debond your superglue.

Here in Italy at the supermarket you can find a gel debonder for superglue. It can be put on the area to be uncured and being a gel will not go on the part you've glued. Anyway should'nt be a problem to leave ir as is...

You've prbably used more superglue than you need. If the problem is simply fogging, just paint over it. If it has pooled and left a bump. you might want to carefully remove the PE, clean it and buff out the excess superglue on the kit.
