hi , tim have you looked at knitting needles , they come in .5mm dia increments up to 15 mm . they are straight and in pairs , pointed end is done for you , all you need is the length and fins made from plastic card. Very cheap they are also made in plastic and Aluminium . I use them as stock material for turning up in my lathe cheers ian

As far as I know, using the sizes online, this should be the correct size?
