Hey, I thought this might be a good idea. I subscribe to some DIY VW forums and those guys do this all the time. The Thread content is this...Scratchbuilding/ Modeling supplies that are not "typically found in the hobby shop". I think this would be a good topic to give people some ideas of "thinking outside the box"
My two cents:
Speaker wire: When stripped from its insulator, most wire has 6 or more copper strands that I use for wargaming trees (add a little ground foam). I have also used them for (single strand) coiling them up for Microphone spaghetti cords.
