I prefer the previous "yellow smartie" chariot!!!
Seriously though, nice wheels. But judging from what you have told me about the drivers over there make sure you get comprehensive insurance!!

Crikey, don't remind me of the smarty. I still see it around Colombo and still cringe. Yeah, insurance laws are pretty strict over here, so that's not an issue.

Nice ride! I think Gunmetal is an excellent choice. I was bummed that GM didn't offer my current car in that color - until the year after I bought mine.

Thanks, Grumps.
What car is that, Frank? One of my colleagues has a Mazda RX8 in gunmetal, and it looks awesome. My FTO started life in pearl white (!), and the last owner gave it this wine red. Gonna get rid of those rims too -- a bit too bling for me.

David - nothing too fancy - a '03 Pontiac Grand Am GT with the SC/T appearance package. All white with black trim. The hood scoop grilles are black and the all white sets them off nicely. But I still really like Gunmetal.
The rims don't look too bad. I myself prefer something with, say, a 5-spoke rim. I have pseudo-chrome wheels now (the stock ones), but if I ever replace them, I'd probably go with the 5 spoked ones in painted silver rather than chrome.

Rims like these:
Yep, that's a cool-looking car, especially the GT. Yeah, I think I'd go for that sorta rims too. And probably drop down to 16"s from the 17"s I've got now, which give a bit of a rough ride.

Here's an actual pic of mine, the day I test drove it. Not the best, but it's the best I've got on hand.
I considered going to 17", but Western PA is the pothole capital of the world and front end is already low enough with the stock 16"s.

I think we call that the Eclipse over here. Nice looking car David.

A 2.0 liter V6.... that is so small! I remember when Yamaha had the 3.0 liter V6 in the Ford Taurus and everyone thought that was small by 1980's standards.
My Accord SE V6 is sort of a gunmetal color. Hard to keep clean in dusty California.

Borrowed image but my car is exactly the same (plus an Armorama license frame)... hehe

Impossible. That title goes to the U.K. Untill a few years ago the title was contested by individual towns and cities ( Swansea in Wales a favoured front runner year on year), but the general state of the national road network is now so bad, that the title is shared by the entire county....

Jim, the FTO and the Eclipse are two different cars, though they have similarities. The back end of the Eclipse looks more like a 350Z, whereas the FTO has Alpha Romeo styling cues. Biggest difference is the engine. The Eclipse uses basically the Lancer/Evo engine, whereas the FTO has a MIVEC. I don't think the FTO was ever imported to the US.
2-litre maybe small for the US but it's larger than average for Asia (1.5-litre) and SL (1.3-litre).
Oh, and I don't think the US or UK could come anywhere near SL, the undisputed heavyweight pothole champion of the world.
Nice colour on that Accord, Jim, but I think I'll go for something a wee bit lighter, like this:
It's a 4th generation Eclipse.

MID-LIFE... lol...

I had been planning on buying one of these for my mid-life crisis.
That grey is a nice shade David. Should look great with the other rims.

Mid Life Crisis, glad I'm pass that.....
Senior Citizen Crisis for me is what color cushion to place on the rocking chair, and trying to remember where the rocking chair is.
