I have only recently taken up modelling mainly 1/35 scale AFV's and figures. Years ago I used to build mostly aircraft and a few tanks with the occasional Aurora horror figures.
I purchase mostly Tamiya, Verlinden, Warriors and the occasional Hornet figures. With so many companies out there producing WW2 military figures and being on a budget I tend to stay with the same three companies.
Can anyone give me some recommendations of other figure producers I might be missing out on? One kit that caught my eye was the German Tank Crew playing skat seated on jerry cans but I only could see the box art.
Thanks in advance for any recomendations I might receive
Paul

Hi Paul, Dragon(DML) models makes a very extensive line of figures in 1/35 th scale. Their models have very good detail and they have Gen 2 line with even more detail.Nemrod also has a nice line of figures. Hope this helps........Vince

You may want to check these out.

http://www.mbltd.info/
- they make the card players

-figures and buildings

Both these are East European makers of injection moulded figures and are trying to do something a little different. Not up to the Gen2 figures from Dragon in quality but as good as the "normal" figures from Dragon in some cases.

There is also Zevzda which again is East European.

All tend to have great box art but the figures can be a little soft on detail, but they are not resin remember.

You've also got Tristar from the far East which makes some good injection moulded figures, along with Academy which has some horrible box art but figures are reasonable, and go cheap most places.

Steer clear of older Tamiya figure sets, still available but shouldn't be. You'll find a few old Esci, Italeri and Revell ones floating about places like ebay but from what I've read they are pretty much in the same league as the early Tamiya stuff. Things have moved on...

As far as resin goes you have a great choice, but of course they are all much more than the moulded ones.

Superb.

similar to MiniArt figures, may be same sculptor

I know your not in the UK but take a look at the range these offer and see if they are available in your country

Another is MK35

So many, I'm bound to forget some.

With the moulded figures I tend to treat them as a starting point, and then sharpen the detail, clean them up a lot. So much so that I've not got round to painting any yet, but the pile of ones waiting to be made and painted keeps increasing

Edit. I forgot ....check out this sites reviews on figure sets and also the ones on other sites like
