Hi guys

I got a eye opener last night. I was showing one of my kids how to use search engines. Just for giggles she asked if she could google me. Boy was I surprised at what came up. Every post I have ever made on this, and any other site, model related or not.
The posting appear to go back to when I first got on the net as a undergrad. There was nothing there that was embarrassing, just surprising.
So beware with every keystroke you make big brother or worse yet your little misses can find out. Now us older better behaved keystrokers out here thats not a problem, besides I don't have a misses. But for younger bucks that are all full of p!$$ and vinigar. beware you are leaving a path. Just thought you might want to know.

My wife and I had done this before. Lucky for me I have a pretty common name. Bad thing for her, she has a unique name.

Hi Guys

hey Mat, look at it this way. Look at all the crazy nasty stuuf you can get into and blame it all on the other guy. I'm just playin man, Double check his middle intial, and the exact spelling of this person's full name. Does this person live close enough to you, or is such a public figure that it could cause you problem. If so, do you have a middle name you could start useing ? The only thing else I could tell you if it becomes that big of a problem seek legal advice.

well,

the Netherlands is only a small country (300km across), it's not like the USA or so he lives relatively close to me The annoying thing is that my name is spelled in a rather unusal way so it is highly unlikely that someone in my country has the exact same name as me (except for this guy ) The thing that bothers me the most is that companies where you go for a job interview often "google" your name to see if they can find anything about you.

So I better not tell on the internet that I sniff resin dust and plastic glue

Hi Mat

Tell them in advance before they do the Google search what they are going to find. The best way to play this, as far as I can see, would be to be up front and honest. I don't know the laws of the Nertherlands so I can't say if you could get an protection order against or if the Netherlands even have such a thing.
All I can say is best luck , and watch out for the resin dust.

This is why it's bad to use full names. (That's why I don't like Missing-lynx.) Imagine your employer (or potential employer who is considering hiring you) googles you, and finds out you spend your time on "childish stuff" (or the other reaction: you like "Nazi tanks", and you're a war-loving militarist).
For "outsiders" it's a strange thing we do with plastic.
