There is no way I would go up in the air in something I put together in my garage...

Me neither, the last time I built a model plane a wing fell off a week after I finished it!

Looks great, and home builts are rather safe, My boss who just retired is building him own aircraft in his garage, been working on it on and off the past few years.

I also would not fly in anything Shuan built in his garage!

As grumpyoldman said, homebuilts are extremely safe and popular. RIght now, me and my dad are assembling a gyrocopter pretty much out of a 2 car garage called a hanger, and a pietenpol is on the books to be built in our "garage" as well. its usually not the place somthing is built, but the way it is built.

cheers

I remember years ago my brother's friend had started building a 1/2 scale spit in a shed, The shed would have to have been dismantled to get it out. Never did find out if he got it to fly, strangely enough he never did get married.

If I had the change I'd do it in a heartbeat. Of course I don't HAVE a garage, so I'd need to find a shed I could rent to fit it in. I'm also nearly all thumbs, so I may have to hire somebody to actually build it. Let's see, $264000, or so, for the kit, USD, say pay somebody $25 an hour to build it, another $30000, and another $1000 in rent for the shed. $295000 for a nearly full sized Spit, yeah, I'd do it.

Anybody got a real good system for winning at Blackjack?
