Anyone else see the half hour preview for the new Ken Burns film "The War" last night on PBS?
The film is 14 1/2 hours long. Looked very good. They said they were not going to have any experts in the film, just people who were there or people waiting at home for people who were. There was archival footage that I hadn't seen.

According to IMDB it's about WWII. "A seven-part series focusing on the many ways in which the Second World War impacted the lives of American families. "

His The Civil War absolutely blew me away when it first came out. I still want to get it someday on DVD. I saw a bit of his Baseball series, and it was alright, but a let down from TCW. If this is even 1/2 as good as TCW it should be fantastic.

Thanks for the heads up.

Thanks for the information.

I guess it'll head out into the Rest Of The World eventually, it'll be nice to finally get the American perspective on WW2...
