Because of our location, I get to hear, on a regular basis, A-10's, C-5A's, and various commercial airliners as they approach Westover, Bradley and Barnes airports/bases. This was different. I step outside and one of these bad boys is on final approach to Westover.
SWMBO's camera was on the dining room table, just feet away, but I didn't think of grabbing it, just that mine was in the back room and would not have been reachable in time to get a picture.
SWMBO has said she's seen these on approach regularly from her office, which is on a differnt flight path to Westover.
